We expect a cautious to slightly higher opening after China's Q2 GDP data matched expectations. US markets fell for a sixth session in a row amid mounting concern about economy and its impact on earnings.

Infosys and IIP both disappointed, dragging Indian markets down. Infosys’ downwardly revised FY13 guidance missed consensus estimates. The Company has also discontinued quarterly guidance. TCS has reported another stellar quarter, widening the gap with Infosys even further.

Inflation will be out on Monday. The widely tracked WPI reading is projected to be -7.5%. Watch out for the core inflation reading, a measure closely tracked by the RBI. While several central banks are cutting rates to shore up growth, the RBI is in an unenviable position due to India’s peculiar macro problems.
